A huge thank you to everyone who supported us at this year’s Dash in the Dark Southampton.
A wave of funky fancy dress, barrels of neon face paint and glowsticks galore lit up the Southampton night sky, with 750 incredible supporters dashing their way around Southampton Common.
So far, you have raised an astonishing £30,000 – enough to fund up to nine emergency call-outs. There is still time to submit your offline donations and even hold your own fundraising event.
Participants included some of our past patients and relatives who have first-hand experience of the life-saving skills of the Air Ambulance team.
We attended Sapphire’s father when he suffered a brain haemorrhage in 2021. Sadly, he was unable to be saved.

“We’ve been supporting the charity ever since the Air Ambulance tried to help my dad. I think it’s important that people know it’s supported by donations and that we try and help as much as we can. It saves a lot of people and I just didn’t know about it.
“I brought everybody from my work and family. For some reason I said I was going to do it in roller skates – I don’t know why because I don’t know how to roller skate. But I’ve got everyone with me in case I fall over.”

“I’m here today raising money for the Air Ambulance after they came out to my son who had a bad motorbike accident. This is the best way I can say thank you. It means everything.
“The Air Ambulance coming out to be with him on scene made a huge difference and is one of the reasons why he is still with me today and why he will live to tell the story. It’s really important to me that I take time out to thank the people that were there for him.”
