A beloved annual gathering which celebrates Volkswagens of all shapes and sizes on Southsea Common has donated £10,000 to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance following another successful year.
Beach Dubbin’ (4 August 2024) attracts Volkswagen fans from all over, with participants bringing their customised classic VWs, including Beetles, Buses, and other air-cooled models.
Every year hundreds of attendees enjoy not only the iconic cars but also music, food, contests and family-friendly activities – including our flight simulator and charity set up.
Since 2018, the incredible team at Beach Dubbin’ have raised an incredible £109,791 for local charities across the region.
Their most recent donation of £10,000 to our charity means the event and its supporters have raised almost £40,000 – enough to fund 11 emergency call-outs.
Natalie Russell, our Support Engagement Officer, said:
“In just a few short years, Beach Dubbin’ has become a staple event that we always look forward to attending. We are immensely grateful to the showrunners for helping bring critical care to those who need it most, in Portsmouth and beyond.”
