CPR Skills for Life
Cardiac Arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere at anytime. Would you know what to do?
Cardiac Arrests are the most called to incidents for our Critical Care Teams. But did you know that fewer than 1 in 10 survive an out of hospital cardiac arrest?
For every minute that someone is in cardiac arrest without receiving CPR and early defibrillation used on them, their chance of survival decreases by 10%.
Early defibrillation within 3–5 minutes of collapse can increase survival rates by up to 50-70%.
It is our mission to boost the confidence of our community to begin basic life support when they see someone collapse.
Our CPR Skills for Life training will give you and your friends, colleagues, community groups, the confidence and knowhow to step in with early intervention.
What will I learn?
Our CPR Skills for Life sessions are delivered to corporate groups, community groups and schools and youth groups by a mix of members of our Critical Care Teams and our Basic Life Support Instructor trained staff and volunteers.
You will learn how to assess a patient, call for help, how to perform effective chest compressions, and how to use a defibrillator.
We will bring our training manikin and defibrillator for you to learn and familiarise yourselves with.
The sessions last up to one hour and are completely free. Use the form below to enquire about a date and time and a member of the team will contact you to confirm your booking.
