Determined runners tackle their miles in aid of our life-saving service

This year, 44 eager runners signed up to join team Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance for the annual Great South Run in Portsmouth.

Over the past few months, they have been raising vital funds to ensure we can reach the most seriously ill and injured people across our region who are desperately in need of critical care.

Sadly, due to adverse weather conditions from Storm Ashley, the popular seafront race was cancelled 24 hours before. However, this didn’t stop some of our sturdy supporters – with runners including teams from Moore Barlow and Churchers Solicitors marching on and completing their 10 miles on Sunday (20 October) – albeit in a different way to what they had planned!

Collectively, the team have raised more than £4,200 for their local Air Ambulance- enough to fund a future life-saving mission.

We’re looking forward to welcoming our determined runners back next year – with their places rolling over to 2025.
