Garmin celebrate triumphant fundraising effort

A global technology company has raised more than £23,000 for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Garmin, a multinational technology company whose European office is based in Southampton, has supported our life-saving service for the last three years – raising vital funds through a variety of in-house events.

From a 24 gameathon to an Easter egg hunt and a summer BBQ, the team have taken fundraising in their stride, raising a total of £23,430 – enough to fund six emergency missions.

A life-saving difference

The generous support that we receive from organisations across the region is crucial in ensuring we can provide advanced pre-hospital care to the most critically ill and injured patients.

As we embark on the biggest leap forward in our charity’s history – preparing to relocate our Airbase to a site near Southampton Airport – this support could not be more valuable. The dedication from organisations like Garmin will help us reach the patients who need us most in the fastest possible time.

Natalie Harrison, HR Director at Garmin, said:

“It has been a real pleasure to have Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance as our charity for the last three years. We admire everything that they do for members of the public, both at the time of the incident and the care that they provide afterwards. They have amazing staff and volunteers.”

Lucy Butcher, Supporter Engagement Officer at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, said:

“Garmin has been a fantastic team to work alongside, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed attending the events they have organised over the last three years. Garmin really has been a part of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance family, and we are so grateful for all they have contributed.”
