Romsey Bowling Club has raised more than £2,780 for our life-saving service.
The bowling enthusiasts have been out in force during our year-long partnership – hosting a variety of events including Brew for the Crew and a Pizza and Poetry evening, as well as and fundraising for us at their Presidents Day and the Romsey Mayor’s Picnic.
The vital funds raised by the local club could help us buy flight suits for six members of our Critical Care Team. This essential piece of kit allows the crew to operate in critical conditions and provide life-saving care to those who need us most.
Judith Stephens, Supporter Engagement Officer at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, said:
“It has been an absolute pleasure to support Gill in her fundraising efforts during her presidency year at the Romsey Bowls Club. The club’s incredible generosity has not only raised a fantastic amount for our cause but also helped raise awareness of our life-saving service within the Romsey community. It’s the unwavering support from groups like the Romsey Bowling Club that enables us to continue providing critical care across the region.”
So far this year, we have responded to more than 2,300 emergency missions – providing urgent critical care and giving our patients the best chance of survival and recovery when the worst happens.
Thank you to everyone at Romsey Bowling Club for keeping us flying and saving lives.
