Hedge End Carnival Club donates £7,200 as they announce closure.
First held in 1921 to raise funds for the services of a nurse in the area, the annual carnival went on to run for more than 100 years – with profits donated to local voluntary and charity organisations.
Lead by Chairwoman, Jean Rumbold, the club sadly announced its closure in 2024 due to a lack of new volunteers. But the club has revealed one more incredible act of kindness – donating £7,200 towards our life-saving appeal: Operation Airbase.
A life-saving appeal
The vital funds that the club has donated will help us centralise our service – ensuring we can reach the patients who need us in the fastest possible time.
This enormous leap forward in our charity’s history would not be possible without the support and generosity from those in our community. Thank you so much to everyone at the Hedge End Carnival Club for making a huge difference to the lives of those in our region.
Save time – Save lives
Help us secure our future by donating to our appeal today.
