Local hotel set their sights on Eastleigh 10k

A team from the Holiday Inn Southampton-Eastleigh are taking on the Eastleigh 10k in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

The popular local road race attracts runners from across the region and the eager ten-strong Holiday Inn team will be joining them for a second year.

Save time Save lives

The colleagues chose to support our life-saving service after we announced the biggest fundraising appeal in our history, Operation Airbase, with £3.6 million needed to convert and equip our new Airbase, near Southampton Airport.

This relocation will help us improve the response times to the majority of our missions. And thanks to the dedication of organisations like the Holiday Inn, we will be able to save time and save lives.

Jane Standing, General Manager at the Holiday Inn Southampton-Eastleigh, said:

“As the leading hotel in the area, we believe in giving back to our community. The Eastleigh 10K is an important local event, and we’re proud to sponsor it again this year. Supporting the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance means helping a service that provides lifesaving care when it’s needed most.

“Last year, we had an incredible experience running the Eastleigh 10K, so we’re back again with a team of 10 runners! It’s a fantastic way to encourage healthy habits within our team while supporting a cause that truly makes a difference.

“The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance relies entirely on donations, with running costs exceeding £17,750 every day.”

“By sponsoring and running this event, we hope to raise awareness and funds to keep this critical service in the air.”
