A group of ladies are stepping out of their comfort zones and hitting the catwalk at the Solo Mia Winter Fashion Show, in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA), at the Holiday Inn, Winchester, on Thursday 4 November.
These “real women” models, many of whom have a personal connection to the Air Ambulance charity, are leaving their inhibitions at the door to show their support for the local life-saving charity. One of those models, Kate, is the grandmother to Joshie who was saved by the service when he suffered a severe head injury after a fireplace crushed him at his home – Joshie went on to spend the next two and a half weeks in an induced coma. Kate says:
‘The team that saved Joshie’s life were absolutely incredible. Had they not acted so quickly, we might have been looking at a completely different outcome. We will be forever grateful that they were there in our hour of need. My daughter Emma and I have been models at this event for the last three years. It’s great fun and we get to try on some amazing clothes from Solo Mia.’
HIOWAA Director of Marketing and Fundraising, Keith Wilson, says, ‘We are so grateful to everyone who has worked so hard to put on this wonderful event. The models who bravely put themselves out there to raise money for our cause deserve huge credit. And it is extra special to see that they all hold the Charity in such high regard.’
Tickets are £10 and include a welcome drink on arrival. They are available now at https://www.solo-mia.co.uk/products/winter-fashion-show-ticket
Guests to the Italian fashion brand event will have the opportunity to purchase items from local businesses and browse the latest Italian clothing collection from the Solo Mia fashion range after the catwalk. There will also be a raffle with fantastic artisan prizes on offer with all proceeds going to HIOWAA. The 2019 Solo Mia fashion event raised over £2,300 for the Air Ambulance charity.
