Members of North Hants Golf Club have raised an incredible £9,538 – enough to fund almost three emergency missions.
2023 Ladies Captain, Carol Squibb kindly nominated Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance as her chosen charity.
Carol and her club went above and beyond for her Air Ambulance, knitting and selling ‘cozzie collars’ (handmade woollen scarves), holding raffles, bridge drives and a Christmas fayre, as well as organising a variety of golf events – an additional £87 was donated via collection pots.
Carol said:
“This (Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance) was a popular choice with the membership, and they were very supportive and generous with their donations.
“Judith (HIOWAA Supporter Engagement Officer) has been an amazing support. I have enjoyed her communications, advice and support throughout the year, and that of the volunteers who brought the Sim Van to North Hants Golf Club.
“This proved popular at our key charity event in the summer. Even our professional helicopter pilot member had a go at being an emergency pilot for a call out!
“I wish the charity continued success, and I appreciate the service that Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance provides to our community.”

“Dedicated groups and clubs like North Hants Golf Club make an extraordinary impact on lives in our region every single day. They ensure our doctors, dispatchers, pilots and paramedics are ready to be there for those who need us most. It’s been a pleasure working with Carol and the members at North Hants Golf Club.”
If your group or club is looking to partner with a high-profile local charity, then Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance can help tailor a relationship that will maximise the benefit for both you and us – and, most importantly, our patients.
