Regional law firm and charity partner Paris Smith has been going above and beyond to help save lives across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Huw Miles, Managing Partner of Paris Smith, recently overcame his fear of heights to abseil down the iconic Spinnaker Tower, raising almost £2,000.
The Spinnaker Tower, 170 metres high and offering breathtaking views of Portsmouth Harbour, provided the perfect backdrop for Huw’s charitable effort. Passionate about Paris Smith’s place in and contribution to the community, Huw was inspired to act by a sense of purpose shared by friends and colleagues.
Huw said:
“Taking part in this abseil was both thrilling and deeply rewarding. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance performs life-saving work and it’s an honour to support them in any way possible. I’m immensely grateful to everyone who has donated so far and encourage those who haven’t yet to visit our JustGiving page and contribute to this worthy cause.”
The funds raised by Huw and his team could allow us to purchase a state-of-the-art flight helmet, keeping our life-saving crews safe and prepared for each of its emergency flights.
Our Director of Income and Engagement Keith Wilson said:
“We are so thankful to Huw Miles and the team at Paris Smith for their support and extraordinary efforts, not just for this event but the partnership across the year. People in our community going above and beyond like this are critical in helping us keep the air ambulance flying and saving lives across the region 365 days a year.”
