Get involved in the Ride4Hugo Sportive and cycle through the beautiful Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire countryside.
Following the tragic passing of his much-loved brother, Hugo Yaxley, and aunt, Helen McCrory OBE, Tom Yaxley has organised a charity cycling event on Sunday 5th June 2022, to raise money in their memory.
When he was just 20 years old, Hugo was involved in a fatal road traffic collision. In November 2020, alongside a team from Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, we were called to the scene to provide emergency critical care. Tragically, Hugo died in hospital later that night as a result of his injuries, which were catastrophic.
Just five months after, aunty Helen, as he was known to Hugo, also tragically passed away after losing her battle with breast cancer.

On Sunday 5 June 2022, take your pick from either the 30km, 60km or 100km distance. All 3 distances start and finish at Henstridge Airfield where you can take in the beautiful Dorset, Wiltshire and Hampshire countryside.
Tom Yaxley, Hugo’s brother, said:
“It is due to the paramedics and doctors of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance that Hugo’s girlfriend, Minna, is with us today. So, to be able to help raise funds so they can be there for another family is a real honour. We hope the day will be one of celebration with a chance for people to come together, challenge themselves and raise money for a great cause.”
