Thousands raised as supporters brave Fire and Ice walk

Last Thursday (17 October) a group of thrill-seeking supporters walked over hot coals and broken glass all in support of their local Air Ambulance.

As darkness fell over Guildhall Square in Southampton, brave soles including teams from Whispers Care, Applied Driving and City College Hospitality took on the Fire and Ice walk – all to help us reach the next patient who needs us most.

Collectively, they have raised more than £2,240 to go towards our Operation Airbase Appeal.

Nicole Davies, Events Fundraiser, said:

“A huge congratulations and thank you to our fire and ice walkers who braved the hot coals and broken glass for their Air Ambulance. This year’s Fire & Ice Walk is in support of our Operation Airbase appeal – our most ambitious fundraising appeal in our history. So, thank you to all our fundraisers for getting us one step closer to our goal.”
