We are sad to announce the passing of our former Chairman of the Board of Trustees (2017-2021), Sir John Day, who passed away on Friday 9 February 2024.
Sir John will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, and our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
Sir John was crucial in helping to deliver some of the charity’s biggest operational challenges – least of all guiding us through the Covid-19 pandemic.
We will all remember him for his professionalism, dedication and passion, helping countless lives across the region.
